Dr. Urvashi Mittal is a distinguished social activist and leader based in Delhi, India. Known as the “Flask Lady,” Dr. Mittal actively promotes environmental consciousness by encouraging the use of reusable steel flasks to reduce plastic waste. Maximum Number of Eco-Friendly Sarees Made from Water Hyacinth
In a bid to address environmental concerns, Dr. Mittal and Inner Wheel D301 members showcased 121 eco-friendly sarees crafted from water hyacinth, an invasive aquatic plant. This effort was recognized as a world record.
Largest Distribution of Water Bottles to Support ‘Say No to Plastic’
To raise awareness about reducing plastic usage, Dr. Mittal and the IWC Delhi Midtown team distributed 570 water bottles with eco-friendly jute covers in December 2023. This campaign emphasized the importance of using sustainable alternatives to plastic.
Largest Inner Wheel Club Logo Using Coloring Caps
Promoting friendship and child rights awareness, Dr. Mittal led the creation of the largest Inner Wheel Club logo, measuring 40 feet by 40 feet, using over 1,000 blue and yellow caps. This record-setting event took place on November 24, 2023, at Venkateshwar International School in Dwarka, New Delhi.
